Meja Urdahl. No nicknames worth mentioning.

Supposedly "Meja" means "power." Urdahl is an old Norwegian surname that dates back quite a ways. It's from the Old Norse "Urðadalr."

Midgard is an icecube with no humanity left on it. They're fine, just for the record. Just in Asgard, being taken care of, where it's safer for the time being. I bargained for them and the winter wolves. Maybe not the smartest decision I've ever made, but they get devastated with nuclear attacks and then Ragnarök comes along? Humanity's not perfect, but we don't deserve to die.

...so, I guess the answer is "homeless," other than the Observatory. Vardø is a chasm. Having a home and personal possessions is overrated, right?

Occupation, ahm... How about "Asgardian Pawn"? Too heavy-handed, maybe? [Snorts.]

The eligible member of my family has the title of "Rune Guardian." They get the two runes. That's me, right now.

Vardø. Like I said, chasm. ...Oh, you want me to elaborate. Of course you do. I suppose it counts for nothing that I'm still shaky, huh?

It was in the north-east of Norway, and one of the coldest parts of the country. We had one tree, one tree, and we had to import it. Plus, I'm pretty sure it was dying when the town... you know.

I guess every tree on Midgard's probably dead by now. Asgard doesn't really give a damn about the plants and the animals.

Why? I have plenty. It'd take all day. Memories are... [mostly what she has.]

Though, there was that time when I was five and Lady Frigg came to talk to me while I was wearing my wooden helmet. I liked to pretend that I was Beowulf, you see, fighting dragons and Grendel and other monsters. ...slightly embarrassing in hindsight. I meet the Queen of Asgard and I'm ranting about dragons. But in my defense, I was five.

Not really any of your business, is it? What do you want, the time mother made me promise — on her deathbed — that I take care of father, and then a year later he dies? Or maybe the promise I unconsciously gave when I inherited the runes from him, which I just essentially broke when the town crumbled? My life is a lot of failures. I'm just trying to carry on, here.

My mother. Redhead, a few inches shorter than me, damn near perfect in almost every way. She taught me everything I know about being a decent human being.

5'10". I hover somewhere around 120 - 125 pounds. Or so my mun says.

I don't need to eat, sleep or drink very much, so that's something.

Posture? Um. I don't know. I stand up straight, I was taught right.

I keep my hair pretty short, because a troll tried to tug it off one time. Not pleasant, believe me.

Of course, the runes themselves sort of look like burns or scars. But please, no touching them unless I say that you can. They're... um... sensitive.

I'm not the smartest tool in the shed, sometimes, I guess? Although Honir is sighing at me, so who knows. I like to think that I'm observant and know more about people than your average person. Frigg seems to think I'm pretty wise for a "mere mortal," so that counts for something.

And hey, I paid attention in school! The only problem is, the year's 1971 back home, and most people in Cittàgazze are from a more modern time period. A modern, non-nuclear-devastated time period. So I've got gaps. But I'm learning.

I don't really have a... scheme for that kind of thing, since I wasn't raised in a particular religion. Mother raised me to consider the feelings of others, to be responsible, and to look out for those who can't look after themselves.
